"Project Europe" documentary brings together perspectives of small places

The East of Moon-lead project "Remote and Rural Areas of Europe together" has concluded with the premiere of a documentary by Mattia Meloni. The 55min film brings together challenges, perspectives and ideas of small and isolated places across Europe.

Project Europe is a collaboration supported by EU's Erasmus+ program, that is based on the understanding that sometimes remote and rural places have more talk about with places similar to them across Europe than they might have with cities and metropolitan areas of their own countries.

Sharing common challenges, ideas and perspective, the project took us from Sardinia, to Madeira, Gran Canaria and the Westfjords of Iceland. The formal results and learnings of the project and are collected in it's toolkit while the documentary shares the spirit of building communities in isolated places.

"These distand lands showed us that change can come from those who are willing to imagine a different future. A future where being a part of a rural community or remote island of Europe is no longer a barrier, but a resource from which to draw streangth and inspiration together"

— Mattia Meloni

The documentary is accesible right now via Youtube below.
